Dance Festivals 2018

600 pupils from 20 different schools performed 34 specially made dances in last week’s Creative Dance Festivals. The youngest gave us Bear Hunts and the Ice Age, Dinosaurs and Pirates; Juniors made pieces about Richard III, Minecraft, Pompeii, Jungles, Plastic Pollution and World War I. Secondary students explored environmental themes and dance styles. Top of the bill was a piece choreographed by dance artist Emma-Jane Sutcliffe working with 3 yr12 students from Aberconwy and 4 dancers from the over 60’s company Cain. Our theme was, of course, Everybody Dances!
