Conwy Staff Ensemble!

Summer term ended in traditional style with the Conwy Staff Ensemble performing to children from 35 Conwy schools.

This annual event involves members of the Music Service instrumental teaching team coming together to form a band for the last two weeks of term and driving all over the county to bring live music to children! As well as showcasing the different instruments the children have the opportunity to learn with the service, it also shows that the teachers can play pretty well too – not to mention entertaining everyone into the bargain; the old favourites were all there, but this year saw some lovely new pieces too – from Nellie the Elephant and Ar Lân y Mor to the Addams Family – it was all very well received and every single concert ended on a high with a performance of Uptown Funk.
