Conwy Music Service is delighted to announce that it has secured funding to run a project for developing woodwind players.
The ensemble project will provide pupils with the opportunity to play side by side with some of the county’s best young players, get coaching from the best teachers, improve skills in a fun and exciting way and take part in public performances.

Thanks to the support of The Japan Society, Conwy pupils will have an exciting storytelling and story making project in Llandudno Museum this summer. Learning about the stunning Netsuke (small fashion toggles worn by Japanese men of the Edo period) displayed in the Around the World in 80 Objects exhibition, students will hear some of the stories linked to these beautiful tiny sculptures
Poetry and Painting

Poetry and Painting is a two-workshop project led by RCA exhibitor and published poet Elizabeth Ashworth offering a creative approach to the Literacy Framework. Explore rhyme, rhythm, alliteration, simile and metaphor before writing brand new poetry. Experiment artistically and then paint an image to express your own favourite poem. Exploring themes through two art forms deepens understanding and develops creativity.

After their successes in schools and creative dance festivals with ‘Simon Says’ and ‘Time for Tea’, Lisa Spaull & Dan Baird (Little Light Dance Company) present OUT OF THE BAG
OUT OF THE BAG explores the wonderful creative possibilities that can be discovered in a bag of old clothes….folding, unfolding … inside out….upside down… charity begins at home… A fast, fun-filled Dance duet combining contemporary dance & acrobatics followed by a dance and fitness workshop for pupils.
Originally commissioned by Venue Cymru for the Take Part Festival, with additional funding by Creu Cymru and now on offer to Conwy Primary schools.
